This is the perfect place for storing your photos/videos!
I've been looking for something like this for I don't know how long!
ThisLife is a cloud-based website where you can start placing all those photos that seem to be scattered everywhere from your phone, to your SD card, to your computer all in one place!
One of the features that I LOVE is the "Auto Duplicate Detection" it makes sure that when you're throwing in photos from all those places that it only saves one copy of the best quality picture.
I also love the "Auto Face Recognition" it's quite incredible! Once you start adding photos it will start picking up faces and asking you to put a name to them. After just a few photos it starts recognizing and automatically pinning the correct name to the photo so that you can search for photo's by people in them without having to go through the thousands (in my case) of pictures that you have and tagging every single person in every single picture. Talk about a time-saver!!!
The service is free for up to 1000 photos or 1 hour of video
from there you can choose The Adventure Plan for $7.99/month or 79.99/year for 20,000 photos or 10 hours of video
and if you really need a lot of storage you can pick The Family Plan for 14.99/month or 149.99/year for 50,000 photos or 50 hours of video
If you ask me, it's worth it to have all my pictures in one place FOREVER! No more worrying about backing up your computer in case it crashes or having to remember to add new pictures to a Scandisk every time you upload.
ThisLife is in it's beta phase right now so you have to get an invite before you can start using it.
SO happy I found this service!

Wittlebee
I can't wait to get my first box in the mail!
Wittlebee is similar to a magazine subscription in that you get it once a month but it's actually a box of kiddie clothes designed to match your kid!
For $39.99 you will receive a box of brand new clothes containing at least $100 in retail value.
You go to the website..
wittlebee.com
and check off a number of different things like your childs age, their gender, what size clothes they are currently in, what designs match your childs personality, colors your prefer, if you need accessories, what climate you live in, etc.
Then you get a call from your "personal stylist" oooh la la!
I felt very glamorous after I got the call and then had this conversation with my husband..
Me: "That was McKinslee's stylist."
Him: "You know how I know our child is spoiled?"
Me: "How"
Him: "Because she has a stylist and she's 7 months old!"
LOL!! I have to say it was a conversation I never expected to have.
Needless to say I am stoked to receive my first box, and I'll be sure to update and let you know if it's really as good as it sounds!

The Volt Buckle
Now this is neat!
Guys don't carry around purses (well most of them anyway..)
and they can't fit everything in their pockets.
So... they typically don't remember to bring a phone charger with them.
-Introducing-
The Volt Buckle

A phone charger and belt in one! When the need arises, simply take off the belt (that could be problem sometimes) and charge a phone through the USB port.
The company is very new and currently the only way to get your hands on one of these is to go to this website
http://www.indiegogo.com/voltbuckle
and contribute to their funding campaign.
There are only 54 days left, so if you're looking for a gift that nobody else will have get on over there ASAP!
Genius... pure genius..

Quora
I guess this one is more familiar to people than I realized.
What can I say.. I'm a mom and until I had this job I didn't have time to check my email much less surf the web for the latest and greatest sites!
Quora however, has become an app I now use on a constant basis.
It's a place for asking questions.
Any kind of question.
You will get responses from all sorts of people. It could be a response from someone who is in the specific profession of the topic that the question is based. Or, it could be someone who has had experience with what you are asking.. I've also had the random jerk that just thinks they know-it-all post answers. But what is a social network without all of the people in it? (Jerks and all)
I'll share an example.
I posted the question:
"Should I get breast implants before I'm done having kids."
The response has been a lot bigger than I expected!
I've gotten an answer from a board certified plastic surgeon, a man who thinks all women are beautiful and shouldn't alter themselves for anything, a mother who has friends that have had the surgery and regretted it, a medical student wanting to give me all the "facts", and others!
It has been extremely helpful to hear these people's views and made it a little easier to come to a decision.
Not all questions posted to Quora have to be so serious. But it's a great place to get some pretty honest feedback on just about anything you want to ask!
-You can also follow your facebook friends.. which makes it a little more fun :)

Songza
This new app has been so much fun!!!
I never have time to go through my itunes and create playlists for specific activities so when I'm at the gym I'll put it on shuffle but then I'll end up with something like "Breathe" from Faith Hill or "Butterfly Kisses" from Collin Raye!
Ummm.. that totally kills the running vibe I've got going on.
With Songza it has this awesome "Concierge" service that knows what day and time it is and will offer you different options on Monday morning like... going to the gym, or relaxing by the pool. If you pick relaxing by the pool it then offers different category's like "Summer in the 90's" or "Relaxing in the Shade" then I have even more options after deciding to relax in the shade I can choose "Lazy Summer," "Margaritaville," or "Beach Grooves."
Since using Songza I've been re-introduced to songs that I love but I haven't heard in years simply because I forgot they existed and they weren't on my ever-looping ipod list.
This app is such a great find! And I'd recommend it to anyone that has no idea what they want to listen to!

Meddik.com
We all know about "WebMD" but I've come across a site that is a little more personal when it comes to questions about healthcare. Whether you have eczema, migraines, or have just fallen and sprained your wrist Meddik.com is the place to go for answers!
If you have chronic conditions there is a place to put them in and then get instant information on that condition in your news feed.
The site is still fairly new so it will take some time to work out the kinks but I have a feeling I'll be using it for many years to come!
